Introducing our new C-Bar oil cooler/core design. We have eliminated the multi-braze points of your traditional bar and plate design core by using a multi-galleried extruded tube and C-bar design. We are able to build the core to directly replace the old bar and plate design without sacrificing heat transfer. Test show that the extruded tube and fin design meet or exceed the efficiency of the traditional bar and plate design. By using the C-bar design, we have eliminated the header and this will help in the use of high pressure applications. In the bar and plate design the tube is made up of a series of bars and plates to create the tube. This has the potential for numerous leaks throughout the tube and core. By using the C-bar design, you only have the braze joint between the bar and extruded tube. We currently offer over 11 different widths to accomodate most any thickness you might encounter.
