Amerikool
Amerikool Heat Transfer was established through a joint venture agreement with C, G, & J INC. of the United States and G.D.M. Heat Transfer of the United Kingdom. Their primary purpose was to supply high-pressure aluminum air to oil coolers to the aftermarket at a quick turn around and at a fair price. C, G, & J Inc. acquired sole ownership in 2000. With the same commitment to fast service and a quality unit, C, G, & J Inc has taken it to a new level. C, G, & J installed a new flux brazing furnace and is able to build custom air to oil coolers to the customers specifications at even better turn around time than before. Amerikool Heat Transfer can build high-pressure oil coolers that will withstand operating pressures up to 400 psi. With the manufacturing process, Amerikool can build the oil coolers from 1” to 8” thick.

Our Markets:
Amerikool has considerable experience in Heat Transfer Design and Manufacturing Process. This enables us to offer cooling equipment for a very wide spread of markets ranging from automotive vehicles, through trucks and compressors up to large industrial applications. We also supply our units to other heat exchanger Companies. Our range includes but is not limited to the following industries:
* Trucks
* Agriculture
* Industrial
* Racing
* Compressor
* Military
* Hospital
* Plant
* Specialist Automotive
* Power Stations
* Grasscutting Machinery
* Marine
The Manufacturing Process:
Amerikool Heat Transfer uses a multi galleried extruded tube in a variety of sizes to meet the customer’s requirements. We have eliminated the multi-braze points of your traditional bar and plate design core by using a multi-galleried extruded tube and C-bar design. We are able to build the core to directly replace the old bar and plate design without sacrificing heat transfer. Test show that the extruded tube and fin design meet or exceed the efficiency of the traditional bar and plate design. By using the C-bar design, we have eliminated the header and this will help in the use of high pressure applications. In the bar and plate design the tube is made up of a series of bars and plates to create the tube. This has the potential for numerous leaks throughout the tube and core. By using the C-bar design, you only have the braze joint between the bar and extruded tube. All units are assembled and brazed in a controlled atmosphere furnace. By using a controlled atmosphere furnace (CAB) you can be assured of a 100% bond between the tube and the fin, which gives you a strong unit. You are also able to do specialty units of one at a time. Amerikool Heat Transfer is committed to building the highest quality oil cooler at a fair price with the least amount of lead-time. We specialize in one unit at a time.
Technical Data:
Tube:
We use a specially made multi galleried tube that was specifically made for G.D.M. to meet the wide range of cooling and thickness requirements.
Fin:
The fin material is .006 in thickness with 10% cladding on both sides to give an even and strong bond between the tube and fin.
C-Bar Oil Cooler:
In the bar and plate design the tube is made up of a series of bars and plates to create the tube. This has the potential for numerous leaks throughout the tube and core. By using the C-bar design, you only have the braze joint between the bar and extruded tube. We currently offer over 11 different widths to accomodate most any thickness you might encounter.
